The custom data fields on Request are the information contained in the request form to serve to the specific needs of each company. This article will help you create custom fields for each request form.

Step 1: You access https://request.base.vn.
Go to the Settings page >> All request groups >> Select the request  group that needs to add custom fields. Base supports you with 2 ways to create custom fields: create manually or import from Excel file.
Method 1: Create manually
Step 1: In the Request Form, you select Add  Step 2: Fill in the information of the data field  - Input types: supports the following input data types:
+ Integer: Form of number 0,1,2...
+ Single-line text
+ Multi-line text
+ Date
+ Date & time
+ Float
+ File: attached file
+ Single-select dropdown

+ Multi-select dropdown

+ Table: For table-type data fields, the setup is a bit more complex. You need to define the rows, columns, the order of sorting the rows, and the width of each column. You can view the detailed instructions HERE.

- Required answer? If you select yes, this field must be filled out to create a request.
- Order of appearance: Choose the display order of the field on the form under which field
Then, click Add new input to complete.

Method 2: Create from Excel file
Step 1: Go to the Request Form >> click View template to download the sample file Step 2: Enter data into the sample file
- Name: Field name
- Type: Data type. The system currently supports Excel import with the following data types:

+ Integer: Form of number 0,1,2...
+ Single-line text
+ Multi-line text
+ Date
+ Date & time
+ Float
+ File: attached file
+ Single-select dropdown

+ Multi-select dropdown

+ Table: input-table. See how to enter Excel information for the table in Method 2 of this article

+Title  

- Content: Explain the data field
- Required: required or optional field. If required , fill in 1; if not required, leave it blank
- Input key: Data field code. If left blank, the system will automatically generate an input key based on the name of the data field. Example: Full name >> full_name 

(Column: Approver Block Key and Action is for Approval form, let it blank when you want to import Request form)

Step 3: After entering the custom field information into the Excel file is complete, you drag and drop the file from your computer's folder to the custom field setup section in the request form.
