1. How to add Custom fields

To add custom fields in a workflow, go to https://workflow.base.vn or choose the Workflow icon on the app bar.

Step 1: Select a workflow and click on "Custom Fields" on the top menu bar

Step 2: Then select "Create"

Step 3: Fill in the information for this field

Note: 

  •  Link to (Stage): Select "Initial input" then the job assignee/job creator will have to fill in this custom data field information at the first task creation step of the workflow.

  •  Other positions: is the position of the custom field, if you choose First then that field will be the First information the user must fill in when moving to the next step.

Example 1: If select "Initial input" with the data field "Phone number", when creating a new job, the user will need to fill in this field.

Example 2:  If select a specific stage, after moving the job to the next stage, a pop-up box will appear asking to fill in relatable information.

2. How to add Custom fields in Table format 

a. Add directly in Workflow

Step 2: Select "Input Type" as Table and set up the table information:

a. Column name:  Name the column

b. Import:  Supports custom fields in each column:

  • Integer, decimal
  • Short text
  • Date, date and time
  • One choice, many choices

Options separated by commas 

  • Formula: Supports addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and excel functions

- Enter $ to display variables, variables are cells of integer, decimal, and selection types created above

- Example formula:c. Enter the Width field 

Width is calculated as a ratio between cells. 

For example, a cell with a width of 2 will be twice as wide as a cell with a width of 1.

d. Enable Required values for each column

e. Total:

Sum only columns of type Integer, Decimal, Formula.

When entering data, a final row will be displayed showing the Total value of that column.

b. Add from Excel 

To add custom fields from an Excel  > Click on "View template" to download the sample file to your computer.

Similar to other fields, with the table input data type, you also enter similar information, details as in the following demo image:

Sheet  1 : Create input-table field and other custom fields:

   Name : Name of the custom field

   Type : Type of the field (  int, float, text, select, m-select, input-formula)

   Content : description of the field

   R equired : 0 (optional, 1 (required)

   Input key : Code of the custom field

Sheet 2 : Add a separate sheet for each table (the name of the sheet must be the input_key of that table) 

After entering the custom field information into the Excel file is complete > Drag and drop the file from the computer's folder to the custom field creation section in the workflow.


c. Set up custom print templates with Table data

- Variable syntax: ${inputkey-1-2} corresponds to the coordinates of row 1 - column 2 of the table.

- Input-key is the ID data.
