Base HRM - Career Development: Appointment/Salary Increase/Transfer/Demote Operations in

1. Purpose:

  • Used to change the position, work location, salary,... of an employee.

  • Meaning: Human resource related operations must comply with company policy and must be transparent, confirmed by policy and recorded on the system.

2. Instructions

Step 1:  Access:  https://hrm.base.vn/careers  => Select more decisions for human resources

- You choose the staff and choose the corresponding salary increase/appointment policy...


  • Appointment: Used for promotion and advancement.

  • Salary Increase: Used for activities related to salary increase for employees.

  • Transfer: Used when an employee changes their job position or office.

  • Downgrade: Used for the action of downgrading or suggesting a downgrade.

  • Development plan: Used to show plans for each employee in the coming time.

  • Request for improvement: Used to request improvements to the responsible person.


Step 2:  Fill in the information in the new position for the selected personnel.

  • If the salary does not change, the person performing the job will select the button "Do not propose salary for this appointment decision"
  • Status: Pending approval  or Completed  (Distinguish between the two statuses below)
  • Suggested by: Can be proposed by staff or managed.
  • Person consulted: The person who will make an assessment of the appointed personnel

  • PIC: The person in charge of this HR person (can be the manager)
  • Followers: People who will need to be notified of the appointment, eg C&B Department.

  • Process sample files: check to have the system automatically create a sample file for this decision.

  • I confirm that the employee is eligible for the career policy: required check box to confirm information


a. If the status of the decision is " Waiting for approval "
-> The person with approval rights (Policy Manager/Owner) needs to go to the decision details and perform the " Approve "


In the approval form, the operator can edit the personnel information and select the " Official Effective Date " for the decision.



+ If the Official Effective Date is the current or past  date -> you can tick or untick the option " Update personnel records applicable from the official date " below.

  • If ticked -> Personnel profile will be updated according to information in the Decision (Office, Area/Specialization, Position, Employee Classification, Salary, Basic Salary, Salary Components...) as soon as the Decision is approved.
  • If not ticked -> Profile will not be affected by Decision.


+ If the Official Effective Date is a future date  -> By default, the profile will be updated according to the information in the Decision on the effective date.


b. If the status of the decision is " Completed "

Right in the creation form, the operator can select " Official appointment date "

+ If the official date  is  current  or  past  -> You can choose "Yes" or "No" to update personnel information.

  • If you select " Yes (update applies from official date) " -> Personnel profile will be updated immediately after creating the decision. 
  • If you select " No (Only keep past data) " -> The profile will not be affected by the decision.


+ If the official date is a future date , -> By default, the profile will be updated according to the information in the Decision (at around 7:00 a.m.) of the official date. 


Note: Updates byOfficial Date/Effective Dateonly apply to the following information: Office, Area/Specialization, Position, Personnel Classification, Salary, Basic Salary, Salary Components... 

Other information such as Tax, Insurance, Work Schedule -> will be updated as soon as the decision is created/approved.

In addition, on the Base Me interface of the Person  being consulted, there will be a list of employees who need to be approved for appointment in the "To Do" section.

Step 2 : Keep track of your career decision list

- You can quickly approve, change the official date, or delete career developments on a page-by-page basis.

- Arrange and create your own filters as needed
