Dependency represents the link between tasks, in which the start or duration of a particular task depends on the start or duration of another task. Dependency in a project are constraints that managers and members must adhere to in order for work to progress, ensure progress, quickly identify bottlenecks in the workflow, and help project management operate more effectively and smoothly.

*Note:  Dependency only apply to Projects - will bind tasks based on  start date and deadline

To set up dependency work, select the Base Wework app icon from the app menu or access the link  https://wework.base.vn/  and follow the instructions: 

1. Setup:

In Setting - Edit Project, the manager can Enable/Disable the Dependency feature: 

When Dependency is enabled, the manager chooses one of two modes:

• Maintain buffer : When changing dependent task time, dependent tasks will automatically change and keep dependent time
•  No: Ignore the time interval between dependent tasks => When changing the dependent task time, the dependent tasks will not be affected 

2. Authorization to create Dependency task: Project managers and members who have the right to edit the start date and duration of the task will be able to create Dependency task.

• The creator and assigner have the right to edit the start date - duration

• Whether or not the assignee can modify the deadline is up to the delegate. 

If the authorization does not allow the assignee to edit the task duration => The assignee will not be able to create dependent tasks.
